Quaker 2.0

How do you relaunch a site that was barely launched in the first place? Beleive it or not - it’s harder than you think.

I often get the feeling that in America politics are just another spectator sport - not something to engage in but something to talk and argue about with feigned authority.

Let’s just get this out of the way… Yes, the title is supposed to have a double meaning.

I’ve never thought of CafePress as being politically interested until I signed up for an account and started getting their newsletter.

In particular, Jim Loney has become both a revered voice of what consistency in a peace-testimony can look like as well as a target for those seeking to connect the antiwar movement with movements popularly deemed “anti-christian.”

So I’ve been intentionally laying low… specifically in terms of QuakerQuaker.org.  If you aren’t already visiting the site, it’s a great aggregate view of the Quaker blogsphere and something of a starting point for people interested in what contemporary Quakers look like.
